We built our Garage Door Cable Repair service around West Hollywood, CA customers who need a specialist, not a generalist working outside their depth.
This specialization is why West Hollywood, CA customers call us back for the same issue instead of shopping around each time.
We check both cables and both drums together, since wear rarely happens in isolation.
We use cables rated to your door's actual weight and spring tension.
Cables work under spring tension — we release tension safely before replacement.
Cables are common stock on our trucks, so most jobs finish in one visit.
Even a few loose strands mean a cable is close to failing under load — replacement cable gets sized to match your spring tension exactly.
A cable that's already snapped usually means the door dropped or hangs crooked — we stabilize it before beginning repair.
A cable that's slipped off its drum causes uneven hanging — we re-seat it and correct the underlying cause.
Extension spring systems should run safety cables to prevent whip-back — it's a quick, affordable safety upgrade.
The bracket anchoring the cable to the door corrodes over time — rust and corrosion at the anchor get addressed before they cause sudden release.
